Presentation:

The Disassembly, Restoration and Reassembly of a 3-rotor Enigma

Speaker(s):
Date & time (UTC/GMT):
January 23, 2021 5:00 PM
Description:

For nearly 40 years Tom Perera and his son Dan have been hunting-for, researching, writing about, restoring and selling fully-restored and working Enigma machines. They have disassembled and inspected a great many Enigmas and they agree with Paul Reuvers and Marc Simons that they have never seen any two Enigmas that are exactly identical. Their book: Inside Enigma (2nd. Edition) is the only book that provides a detailed look at the inner workings and variations of Enigmas. This presentation will walk you through a tour of the modular assemblies and structures of Enigmas as they are disassembled, restored and reassembled. Real-time questions and comments from attendees will be encouraged throughout the presentation.
