Dr Chris Christensen is a specialist in Second World War Japanese naval ciphers. As a Professor of Mathematics at Northern Kentucky University (NKU), he is particularly interested in the relationship between mathematics and cryptology, and the mathematicians who served as cryptologists. He is particularly focused on the JN-25, but has also explored the 1931 Japanese cipher machines (RED, ORANGE, and M-2) and the corresponding 1937 Japanese machines (PURPLE, JADE, and CORAL).
